This is the first time we drove our beat up VW van up north to see our brothers and sisters in Mendo to check out their recent crop. After the smoke cleared we tried some wine too. Wow did we find a groovy wine. From perhaps the best vineyard in Mendo we plucked this gem and we always share.

The sweet thang shows a powerful core of cassis, framboise, concentrated blackberry, huckleberry and dark chocolate. Secondary layers of spice box and hazelnut linger on the finish. This beauty has a nice chewy aspect but finishes long and supple with a flirty bit of candied violet.

Blacker than Caspian Sea Caviar, this wine is extraordinary and explosive.
